Context

Rubiwin’s carrier collaboration involved thousands of carriers from various countries. Prior to the introduction of the new document management system, onboarding a carrier took about a week, largely due to the cumbersome process of document collection and verification. This manual process was managed using an old TMS tool and email communication. The primary challenge was the extensive back-and-forth communication required to obtain all necessary documentation from carriers. The aim was to streamline this process, make carriers more autonomous in their document submissions, and prevent the hiring of additional personnel for this task.

Role

  • As the Product Owner, I was at the forefront of this transformative project, ensuring it met both business and user needs.
  • I interfaced with developers, designers, and other stakeholders, governing the project’s progress through Agile principles.
  • Collaborated closely with a UX specialist to create an intuitive interface tailored for our carriers, allowing them to upload, view, and manage their documents.
  • Oversaw the development of features that allowed carriers to autonomously upload/take pictures of documents, set expiration dates, and monitor the status of their submissions.
  • Also ensured the creation of a back-office tool for our operators to easily validate, reject (with reasons), or configure document types based on country requirements.

Results

  • The introduction of the new system drastically reduced carrier onboarding time from one week to just one day, provided all documents were readily available.
  • It led to improved relationships with carriers, who appreciated the more streamlined and user-friendly process.
  • Rubiwin experienced savings equivalent to 2 to 3 Full-Time Employees, reaffirming the project’s return on investment.
  • The tool boosted our subscription rate and negated the need for additional personnel hiring for document management. Furthermore, it enhanced our document audit readiness.

Context

The ContentMarket.com initiative was conceived as an internal startup within the RTL Group (Berthelmans Group) with the primary objective to empower producers to view, purchase, cut, and export in varied formats any segment of the Berthelmans Group video archive. Serving as a Proof of Concept (POC), the project’s timeline was set for one year but saw execution over seven months.

Role

  • Spearheaded functional analysis, collaborating closely with the RTL group CEO, who acted as the startup’s chief stakeholder.
  • Orchestrated dialogues with varied stakeholders, presenting functionalities, gathering feedback, and aligning project directions.
  • Encountered challenges in sourcing an external tool for video cutting and exportation. Responded by conducting a comprehensive benchmark study to identify potential solutions.
  • Collaborated with two developers from NEOFACTO, five developers from RTL, and one external company focused on developing the video cutting tool to ensure seamless integration into the project.
  • Employed brainstorming sessions to rally the internal RTL team and foster enthusiasm and commitment towards the project’s goals.

Results

Despite the hard work and progress made, the project confronted significant internal challenges, primarily concerning the clearance of rights for the diverse video footages. As a result, while ContentMarket.com functioned effectively as an alpha version, the initiative was halted due to these internal complexities.

Context

Cogaming was envisioned as a unique platform for connecting gamers in the real world. In an era dominated by online interactions, Cogaming aimed to introduce something different – fostering genuine, face-to-face connections among gaming enthusiasts. The platform was tailored specifically for gamers, steering clear of a generalized approach. Users could organize in-person gaming sessions at their homes, offering a fresh avenue to socialize and bond over shared interests.

Role

As the co-founder and driving force behind Cogaming, I wore multiple hats, steering its journey from conception to execution.

  • Co-founder of Cogaming, actively involved in myriad aspects of the venture.
  • Drafted the business plan, delineating the trajectory and strategy for the platform.
  • Engaged potential investors through dialogues, backed by compelling pitch decks.
  • Initiated direct engagement with the primary audience – the gamers.
  • Authored user stories to ensure the platform was aligned with gamer preferences and requirements.
  • Sourced and managed freelance developers, ensuring timely and quality platform development.
  • Directed and mentored interns, fostering their contributions to the project.
  • Implemented an agile methodology, guaranteeing iterative development interspersed with regular feedback loops.
  • Extended this agile approach across all facets, from marketing campaigns to digital strategies.

Results

While Cogaming resonated with its target audience and showcased promising functionalities, it faced challenges in carving a niche for itself in the expansive gaming market.

  • Cogaming successfully tapped into an enthusiasm for its revolutionary idea, particularly the focus on real-world gaming sessions.
  • Feedback from users reflected a genuine interest in the platform’s unique offerings. However, challenges such as limited hosting space and concerns over trust emerged as barriers.
  • Key performance indicators included a substantial number of user registrations and organized gaming sessions.
  • The platform boasted a suite of comprehensive features: from the creation of gaming sessions, service addition, payment processing, to gathering user feedback.
  • Notwithstanding the initial traction, certain market challenges like the omnipresence of online platforms, limited hosting spaces at users’ homes, trust issues, and the sheer dominance of online gaming served as roadblocks to its full-fledged success.

These include the Supplier Portal, which allows clients to create and track shipments throughout their lifecycle until invoicing. The Shaq (Shared Quotation) serves as the platform’s core, connecting shippers and carriers, enabling the creation, selection, and assignment of transporters for auctions. Additionally, the Rubiwin Portal serves as a carrier portal, empowering them to manage their business and stay connected to the Shaq platform..

Role

As part of a collaborative team, I played a key role as the product manager for the R-tech marketplace. Together with a dedicated group of product owners, designers, developers, and other stakeholders, we successfully delivered multiple projects and achieved remarkable results. My responsibilities encompassed:

  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders to define clear product visions and roadmaps that aligned with business objectives.
  • Leading and empowering the product owners, ensuring their success in driving the development and delivery of each product.
  • Conducting thorough user research and engaging in user-centric design practices to deeply understand customer needs and pain points.
  • Working closely with UX/UI designers to translate user insights into intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring shared understanding and alignment on priorities.
  • Guiding the refinement of requirements and user stories, leveraging the expertise and perspectives of the team members.
  • Conducting user testing and gathering feedback, involving the entire team in the iterative improvement process.
  • Monitoring and analyzing key metrics to measure product performance, celebrating successes, and identifying areas for further optimization.
  • Regularly engaging with stakeholders, including the CEO and investors, to provide updates on progress, gather valuable insights, and align on strategic goals.

Results

The product management initiatives produced significant results:

  • Transitioned from individual team-centric work to an integrated approach with Train Releases, where cross-functional teams collaborated and aligned their efforts within Program Increments (PIs) scheduled quarterly. This enhanced visibility for teams, stakeholders, the CEO, and investors.
  • Streamlined the delivery process, enabling the release of better features, enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring a smoother user experience.
  • Implemented Sprint Reviews as a feedback-gathering mechanism, allowing for more efficient and timely updates to the products.
  • Fostered commitment and alignment among all teams, rallying them around shared goals for each quarter, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

These outcomes led to improved collaboration, enhanced product delivery, and a customer-centric approach, ensuring the continuous growth and success of the R-tech marketplace.

Product

Rubiwin is an essential carrier access application within the Redspher marketplace. It provides carriers with the ability to create an account, manage their fleet, submit transport prices through auctions, track shipments, and invoice Redspher for payment.

Role

As the product owner of Rubiwin, I played a vital role in this significant project. Previously, all carrier invoices were managed manually, involving a tedious process of receiving invoices, manually verifying transport details, and processing payments. The objective of this project was to introduce an e-invoicing application that allows carriers to select their completed transports, validate prices, and automate the invoice creation for seamless and prompt payments. In this role, my responsibilities included:

  • Conducting interviews with carriers and internal stakeholders to understand the existing processes thoroughly.
  • Collaborating closely with UX/UI designers to create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that addresses key needs.
  • Creating user stories and managing the product backlog.
  • Testing the features and ensuring their functionality and usability.
  • Preparing training materials for carriers and our internal operators who would support them.
  • Developing a backend application to streamline the entire process.
  • Gathering feedback from users to continuously improve the application.

Results

The implementation of Rubiwin yielded remarkable results:

  • Within six months, 98% of our invoices became digital and 100% automated, from creation to payment.
  • Achieved high customer satisfaction due to the user-friendly and efficient e-invoicing system.
  • Reduced the payment processing time from several months to just one month.
  • Eliminated back-and-forth communication between our financial department and carriers regarding invoice errors, leading to improved efficiency and accuracy.

The successful outcomes of this project significantly enhanced the invoicing process, resulting in streamlined operations, improved payment timelines, and increased satisfaction for carriers and internal stakeholders.
